Our Implementation Partner – World Vision

We are proud to partner with World Vision for all of our projects in Africa. As one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world, they have the infrastructure, experience, and relationships needed to bring about lasting change:

    • Applying over 70 years of field work in transforming lives
    • Working in over 1,600 program areas in nearly 100 countries – including the U.S.
    • More than 34,000 staff worldwide, nearly 99% of them working in their home regions
    • Integrated model that addresses the many causes of extreme poverty
    • Tailored approach that is community-based and community-owned.

In accordance with the Red Cross Code of Conduct, we never proselytize or require a profession of faith in exchange for services.

By developing relationships with people of other faiths and none, we have found that suspicion, mistrust, and fear are often replaced with trust, friendship, and mutual support. We respect the religious beliefs and practices in countries where we operate and seek mutual understanding with people of all faiths and none.

We seek to collaborate with a wide spectrum of partners, supporters and others to transform the lives of children, families and communities. We see that most people share common values of compassion, love and mercy and are willing to partner in changing lives. So, we ignite and join movements for child well-being, mobilizing all people including donors and supporters, Christians and the Church, as well as other faith leaders, secular institutions and government actors.

“As a partner of the United Nations, in many countries, World Vision has worked tirelessly to save lives and bring hope through development assistance and emergency relief.”

— Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General, United Nations
